Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a baking department
- Knowledge of food safety and quality controls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Assist with designing new and improving existing recipes
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
- Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels of baked goods
- Keeping spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities, portioning, and rotating products
