Qualifications
- Proven experience in purchasing or a similar role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of the roofing or restoration industry is a plus
- Well organized and team oriented
- Proficient in purchasing software and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best quality and cost
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Maintain inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals
- Facilitate daily orders by job from foreman and job supervisors
- Place purchase orders, verify quantities received and approve payments in a timely fashion
- Manage a team of 7-10 employees with over 20 active jobs
